What is MailClean?

How do I get started?

Sign up for a free account to get 25 daily verifications. You can verify single emails using our free validator, upload bulk lists, or integrate with our API.

Is there a free plan?

Yes! Our free plan includes 25 daily email verifications. It’s perfect for testing the service and small-scale verification needs.

How accurate is MailClean?

MailClean achieves 99% verification accuracy using our AI-powered engine that performs 28+ checks per email address.

Does MailClean send emails to verified addresses?

No. We never send emails to the addresses we verify. Our technology confirms mailbox existence through SMTP protocol emulation without delivering any messages.

What file formats are supported for bulk verification?

We support CSV, TSV, plain text, and Microsoft Excel (.xlsx, .xls) files. Lists can contain up to 40 million email addresses.

What is catch-all detection?

Some mail servers are configured to accept all emails sent to their domain, even for non-existent addresses. We identify these ‘catch-all’ servers so you can make informed decisions about those addresses.

Do credits expire?

Pay-as-you-go credits never expire. Daily free credits from subscription plans reset at midnight UTC each day.

Can I change my plan?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades are prorated based on your remaining billing period.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers for enterprise accounts.

Is there an API?

Yes! Our RESTful API supports both single and bulk email verification. We provide free, open-source SDKs for .NET, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, and Go.

What is the API rate limit?

Rate limits depend on your plan. Free plans allow up to 25 verifications per day. Paid plans have higher or configurable limits.

Does the widget work with form libraries?

Yes, our JavaScript widget is compatible with plain HTML forms, React, Vue, Angular, and most popular form validation libraries.

How is my data protected?

We use AES-256 encryption for data at rest, TLS 1.3 for data in transit, and operate from ISO 27001 certified data centers with 24/7 monitoring.

Yes. We are fully GDPR compliant. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data at any time.

How long do you retain verification data?

Data retention is configurable from 5 minutes to 30 days. You can also delete your data manually at any time.
